Get your walking shoes ready and join “Team HIDA” for the 2019 Visitor Industry Charity Walk… May 18 on O’ahu — we’ll post walk registration information when it’s available.

Mahalo Hawai’i Lodging & Tourism Association – 2017 Oahu Charity Walk! At the September 22 award breakfast, Elaine Nu’uhiwa (HIDA Board Member) and Margaret Higa (HIDA Executive Director) received HIDA’s grant check from HLTA President & CEO Mufi Hannemann and the walk co-chairs.
Mahalo to HIDA’s awesome volunteers for getting up early on Saturday, May 20, to walk the 5.25 mile route in the 2017 Visitor Industry Charity Walk! Team HIDA had a great time enjoying the beautiful scenery, company and ono treats along the way! In total, 17 volunteers joined HIDA’s executive director, Margaret Higa, in walking to raise awareness of dyslexia and funds for non-profits, including HIDA

The Brigham Young University Hawai’i School of Education hosted a one-day symposium for parents with a focus onself-awareness, self-advocacy and self-empowerment.
