	Join HIDA and community mentors Anna Davide and Nicole Dolor-Bala for a FREE Interactive Virtual* Group for Youth in Grades 5-8 with Learning Differences ! Theme: What is Your Favorite Form of Self-Care? Create an original piece of art ahead of time that you will share during the virtual group event. * Zoom link will be emailed to you after you register. REGISTER
Some examples of self-care: being in the ocean going on a hike biking reading or listening to a book spending time with animals hanging out with your friends baking … and more!! Anna Davide is a young adult who doesn’t let ADHD and dyslexia stop her from accomplishing her goals! She graduated in 2020 from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa (UHM) with a B.A. in Public Health and B.A. in Philippine Language & Literature, with an Undergraduate Minor Certificate in Peace Studies. Anna is currently working as a community health worker and a university lecturer, teaching “Introduction to Filipino Language”. She dreams of one day becoming a doctor.
Nicole Dolor-Bala is a freshman at UHM majoring in social work. She graduated summa cum laude in 2021 from Farrington High School in Honolulu. Nicole has been recognized for her work as a special education and learning disability advocate for other young people like herself. Reading is one of her favorite hobbies because it brings her to another world. Her favorite colors are blue and purple.
